في تأكيد جديد يعكس المخاوف من انهيار الاتفاق المؤقت بين واشنطن وطهران، أكد رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو، أن الحرب لم تنته بعد، لافتا إلى أن إسرائيل وجهت ضربة قوية إلى طهران ووكلائها في المنطقة.

وأعرب خلال لقائه مع طلاب دورة ضباط قتاليين في الاحتياط في غوش عتصيون، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، عن تقديره الكبير للدعم الذي قدمته الولايات المتحدة إلى بلاده، إلا أنه تحدث عن وجوب تحرير إسرائيل من التبعية. وقال: «علينا إنتاج احتياجاتنا العسكرية بأنفسنا»، وفق ما نقلت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية.

وأضاف: «أقدّر كثيرًا الدعم الذي تلقيناه من أصدقائنا الأمريكيين، لكننا بحاجة إلى التحرر من الاعتماد عليهم وبناء منظومة تسليح مستقلة خاصة بنا».

وكان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أعرب مساء أمس (الإثنين) عن ثقته في قدرته على حل مشكلة عدم رغبة إسرائيل في سحب قواتها من الجنوب اللبناني. وقال للصحفيين: «أنا بارع في حل المشاكل، وأحلّها بسرعة كبيرة، بما في ذلك مع بنيامين نتنياهو».

وكرر نتنياهو ووزير دفاعه يسرائيل كاتس أكثر من مرة التأكيد أن الجيش لن ينسحب مما وصفاها بالمنطقة الأمنية في الجنوب اللبناني، رغم أن مذكرة التفاهم الأمريكية الإيرانية الموقعة في 18 يونيو أشارت إلى ذلك.

وتجيء التصريحات وسط أزمة ثقة بين واشنطن وتل أبيب، وانتقادات وجهها مسؤولون في الإدارة الأمريكية أخيرا إلى الحكومة الإسرائيلية.

وتواجه العلاقات الأمريكية - الإسرائيلية تقلبات شديدة، بدا أثرها بشكل واضح عبر الانتقادات التي ظهرت إلى العلن أخيرا من قبل ترمب.

وانتقد نائب الرئيس الأمريكي جي دي فانس الأسبوع الماضي وزراء في حكومة نتنياهو، مذكراً بأن أغلب الأسلحة التي تستعملها تل أبيب تأتي من أمريكا.

During his meeting with students of a combat officer reserve course in Gush Etzion today (Tuesday), he expressed his great appreciation for the support provided by the United States to his country, but he spoke about the need for Israel to free itself from dependency. He said, "We must produce our military needs ourselves," according to Israeli media reports.

He added, "I greatly appreciate the support we have received from our American friends, but we need to free ourselves from reliance on them and build an independent armament system of our own."

U.S. President Donald Trump expressed confidence last night (Monday) in his ability to solve the issue of Israel's unwillingness to withdraw its forces from southern Lebanon. He told reporters, "I am good at solving problems, and I solve them very quickly, including with Benjamin Netanyahu."

Netanyahu and his Defense Minister Israel Katz have repeatedly affirmed that the army will not withdraw from what they described as the security zone in southern Lebanon, despite the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding signed on June 18 indicating otherwise.

The statements come amid a crisis of trust between Washington and Tel Aviv, and criticisms recently directed by officials in the U.S. administration towards the Israeli government.

U.S.-Israeli relations are facing severe fluctuations, the effects of which have been clearly seen through the criticisms that have recently emerged publicly from Trump.

Last week, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance criticized ministers in Netanyahu's government, reminding them that most of the weapons used by Tel Aviv come from America.
