كتبت لاعبة المنتخب السعودي للكاراتيه دينا أحمد اسمها بأحرف من نور في تاريخ الرياضة السعودية، بتحقيقها أول ميدالية نسائية للمملكة في تاريخ الدورات الآسيوية، بحصولها على الميدالية البرونزية في دورة الألعاب الآسيوية الـ20 «ناغويا 2026»، اليوم (الأحد).
وجاء فوز دينا بالبرونزية بعد أن قلبت تأخرها في مواجهة تحديد المركزين الثالث والرابع التي جمعتها بالنيبالية أروكا غورونغ من 0-3 إلى 8-7، في منافسات وزن 68 كجم، معلنة بذلك حصولها على أول ميدالية سعودية نسائية في تاريخ الدورات الآسيوية للكبار.
وأضاف زميلها سعود البشير الميدالية البرونزية الثانية للسعودية في الدورة، إثر فوزه على النيبالي تامانغ بثنائية نظيفة، ضمن منافسات وزن 60 كجم.
وكان البشير قد تأهل لهذا الدور بفوزه على التايلندي سيواكون مويكثونغ بالأفضلية بعد تعادلهما 5-5، وخسارته من الكويتي عبدالله شعبان 8-11، وفوزه على القيرقستاني كاليكوف 10-2.
وفي منافسات الكاراتيه، غداً (الإثنين)، يلاقي اللاعب محمد العسيري نظيره من منغوليا عند الواحدة والنصف ظهراً بتوقيت اليابان ضمن مواجهات دور الـ16 لوزن تحت 67 كجم، فيما تواجه زميلته رنا فياض (68 كجم) نظيرتها من الأردن عند الثانية والنصف ظهراً.
الفيصل يشهد منافسات فريق السعودية
شهد رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية رئيس الوفد السعودي الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي الفيصل عدداً من منافسات فريق السعودية اليوم في ناغويا.
من جهة أخرى، توّج نائب رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية نائب الوفد السعودي رئيس الاتحاد الآسيوي للترايثلون الأمير فهد بن جلوي بن عبدالعزيز بن مساعد الفائزين في منافسات فردي الرجال للترايثلون، التي أقيمت، اليوم (الأحد)، في مدينة قامقوري باليابان، ضمن منافسات الدورة الآسيوية.
وعلى صعيد آخر، حضر عبدالعزيز باعشن حفل الاستقبال الذي نظمته اللجنة الأولمبية اليابانية، على هامش الدورة الآسيوية، بحضور رئيس المجلس الأولمبي الآسيوي الشيخ جوعان بن حمد آل ثاني، ورئيس اللجنة الأولمبية الدولية كيرستي كوفنتري، وعدد من رؤساء اللجان الأولمبية الآسيوية.
الزبن والسراج في السباحة غداً
أقيمت، اليوم (الأحد)، منافسات اليوم الأول للسباحة، في طوكيو، بمشاركة عماد الزبن وزيد السراج في سباق 100م حرة، وعلي العيسى في سباق 100م ظهر.
وأنهى الزبن تصفية السباق بزمن 49.81 ثانية، لتقرر على إثره اللجنة المنظمة دخوله في سباق الفرصة الثانية للمسافة ذاتها، لتحديد المتأهلين للنهائي، إلا أن الطاقم الفني للزبن قرر عدم المشاركة؛ بسبب قصر فترة الاستشفاء بين السباقين والبالغة 15 دقيقة لأهمية إراحته للسباقات الأخرى، فيما اختتم السراج السباق بزمن 50.49 ثانية، والعيسى بزمن 57.35 ثانية.
ويواصل الثنائي السراج والزبن مشاركتهما في الدورة، بتواجدهما في تصفيات سباق 50م حرة، الذي يقام عند الـ10 من صباح غد (الإثنين).
القتال المختلط ينهي المشاركة
اختتم فريق الفنون القتالية المختلطة مشاركته بالدورة بعد خسارة ممثليه مالك باسهل في ربع نهائي وزن تحت 60 كجم أمام كازاخستان 0-3، وسعود الملحم (تحت 65 كجم) أمام الفلبين بالنتيجة ذاتها.
الرماية تدشن مشاركتها بالسكيت
يفتتح فريق السعودية للرماية مشاركته في تصفيات اليوم الأول لمسابقة السكيت بالدورة الآسيوية بداية من الـ10:30 من صباح غدٍ (الإثنين)، بتوقيت اليابان، في ميدان الرماية بمدينة آيتشي ناغويا، ويمثل الأخضر كل من الرماة الأمير سعود بن الحسن، وسعيد المطيري، وفهد الحربي.
«القدم» يعاود التدريبات قبل كوريا
عاود المنتخب الوطني تحت 21 عاماً، مساء اليوم (الأحد)، تدريباته بناغويا، في أعقاب الراحة التي منحها الجهاز الفني للاعبين أمس (السبت)، بعد المباراة التي جمعته بمنتخب قطر ضمن منافسات لعبة كرة القدم، الجمعة الماضية.
وأجرى لاعبو الأخضر حصتهم التدريبية، قُسموا خلالها إلى مجموعتين، أدت المجموعة الأولى والتي ضمت اللاعبين الذين شاركوا بصفة أساسية في المباراة أمام منتخب قطر، مراناً استرجاعياً، في حين بدأت المجموعة الأخرى الحصة التدريبية بتمارين لياقية أعقبها مران تكتيكي، واختتمت الحصة بمران على الكرات الثابتة.
ويواصل أخضر 21 عاماً مساء يوم غدٍ (الإثنين)، تدريباته استعداداً لمواجهة منتخب كوريا الجنوبية الثلاثاء القادم ضمن منافسات المجموعة الرابعة في لعبة كرة القدم بالدورة الآسيوية.
Saudi national karate player Dina Ahmed has written her name in lights in the history of Saudi sports by winning the first women's medal for the Kingdom in the history of the Asian Games, securing a bronze medal at the 20th Asian Games "Nagoya 2026," today (Sunday).
Dina's victory came after she turned around her deficit in the match for the third and fourth places against Nepal's Aruka Gurung from 0-3 to 8-7, in the 68 kg weight category, thus announcing her achievement of the first Saudi women's medal in the history of the Asian Games for adults.
Her teammate Saud Al-Bashir added a second bronze medal for Saudi Arabia in the tournament, after defeating Nepal's Tamang with a clean score, in the 60 kg weight category.
Al-Bashir had qualified for this round by defeating Thailand's Siwakon Moikthong on points after they drew 5-5, losing to Kuwait's Abdullah Shaaban 8-11, and winning against Kyrgyzstan's Kalikov 10-2.
In karate competitions tomorrow (Monday), player Mohammed Al-Asiri will face his counterpart from Mongolia at 1:30 PM Japan time in the Round of 16 for the under 67 kg weight category, while his teammate Rana Fayyad (68 kg) will face her counterpart from Jordan at 2:30 PM.
Al-Faisal witnesses Saudi team competitions
The President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and head of the Saudi delegation, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, witnessed several competitions of the Saudi team today in Nagoya.
On another note, the Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Deputy Head of the Saudi delegation, and President of the Asian Triathlon Federation, Prince Fahd bin Jiluwi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaid, crowned the winners in the men's individual triathlon competitions, which were held today (Sunday) in the city of Gamagori, Japan, as part of the Asian Games.
Additionally, Abdulaziz Baashan attended the reception organized by the Japanese Olympic Committee on the sidelines of the Asian Games, in the presence of the President of the Olympic Council of Asia, Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, the President of the International Olympic Committee, Kirsty Coventry, and several heads of Asian Olympic committees.
Al-Zubain and Al-Saraj in swimming tomorrow
The first day of swimming competitions was held today (Sunday) in Tokyo, with participation from Imad Al-Zubain and Zaid Al-Saraj in the 100m freestyle race, and Ali Al-Essa in the 100m backstroke.
Al-Zubain finished the race qualification with a time of 49.81 seconds, after which the organizing committee decided to enter him in the second chance race for the same distance to determine the qualifiers for the final. However, Al-Zubain's technical team decided not to participate due to the short recovery time of 15 minutes between the races, as it was important to rest him for the other events, while Al-Saraj finished the race with a time of 50.49 seconds, and Al-Essa with a time of 57.35 seconds.
The duo Al-Saraj and Al-Zubain will continue their participation in the tournament, competing in the qualifiers for the 50m freestyle race, which will take place at 10 AM tomorrow (Monday).
Mixed martial arts concludes participation
The mixed martial arts team concluded its participation in the tournament after its representatives Malik Basahl lost in the quarter-finals of the under 60 kg category against Kazakhstan with a score of 0-3, and Saud Al-Mulhim (under 65 kg) lost to the Philippines with the same result.
Shooting kicks off its participation with skeet
The Saudi shooting team will begin its participation in the first day qualifiers for the skeet event at the Asian Games starting from 10:30 AM tomorrow (Monday), Japan time, at the shooting range in Aichi Nagoya, with the green team represented by shooters Prince Saud bin Al-Hassan, Saeed Al-Mutairi, and Fahd Al-Harbi.
Football resumes training before Korea
The national under-21 team resumed its training in Nagoya this evening (Sunday), following the rest period granted by the coaching staff to the players yesterday (Saturday), after the match against Qatar in the football competition last Friday.
The green players conducted their training session, divided into two groups, with the first group, which included the players who participated as starters in the match against Qatar, performing a recovery training, while the other group began the training session with fitness exercises followed by tactical training, concluding with practice on set pieces.
The under-21 green team will continue its training tomorrow evening (Monday) in preparation for facing the South Korean team next Tuesday in the group stage of the football event at the Asian Games.
