شدد مدرب صن داونز الجنوب أفريقي ميغيل كاردوسو على صعوبة مباراة فريقه أمام الأهلي، المقررة (السبت) القادم، على ملعب «لوفتس فيرسفيلد» في بريتوريا، في نهائي كأس أفريقيا - آسيا - المحيط الهادئ، ضمن منافسات كأس القارات.
وقال كاردوسو في تصريحات لـ«عكاظ»: «في البداية، أود أن أعبر عن مدى فخرنا بالمشاركة في هذه البطولة وتمثيل صن داونز وجنوب أفريقيا والقارة الأفريقية على أعلى مستوى، هذه بطولة تجمع أفضل الأندية في العالم، وليس من السهل أن تتاح للكثير من الأندية أو الأشخاص فرصة المشاركة في هذا المستوى من المنافسات طوال مسيرتهم، بالنسبة لي، تفوق حتى المشاركة في كأس العالم للأندية».
طموح كبير رغم التغييرات
وأضاف المدرب البرازيلي: «بالنسبة لنا، كان من الأفضل لو أقيمت هذه المباراة في مرحلة مختلفة من الموسم، فنحن لا نزال في مرحلة إعادة التكيف بعد بعض التغييرات التي شهدناها في سوق الانتقالات ورحيل بعض اللاعبين، ومع ذلك، فإننا نخوض هذه المباراة بطموح كبير للغاية».
الأهلي منافس من الطراز الرفيع

South African Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso emphasized the difficulty of his team's match against Al Ahly, scheduled for next Saturday at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, in the final of the Africa-Asia-Pacific Cup, as part of the Confederations Cup.
