حذّر الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي من أن الذهاب إلى صناديق الاقتراع في الظروف الحالية قد يؤدي إلى انقسامات داخلية، رافضاً إجراء الانتخابات في ظل استمرار الحرب مع روسيا.
وكشف دعماً عسكرياً فرنسياً مرتقباً لتعزيز شبكة الدفاع الجوي الأوكرانية.
وقال زيلينسكي في تصريحات، اليوم (الأحد)، إن إجراء الانتخابات خلال الحرب يمثل خطراً هائلاً، مؤكداً أن الانتخابات في الوقت الراهن ستكون بمثابة تسونامي للبلاد سيقسم أوكرانيا.
وكان زيلينسكي يرد على دعوة من وزير الدفاع السابق لتنظيم اقتراع، في وقت تواصل فيه كييف مواجهة القوات الروسية على جبهات متعددة.
وبحسب وكالة «فرانس برس»، اعتبر زيلينسكي أن ظروف الحرب تجعل تنظيم الانتخابات حالياً شديد الخطورة، في ظل استمرار العمليات العسكرية والتهديدات التي تواجهها البلاد.
في غضون ذلك، يترقب زيلينسكي تعزيزات جديدة من الحلفاء، إذ أعلن أن فرنسا ستزود أوكرانيا خلال العام الحالي بمنظومة دفاع جوي واحدة على الأقل من طراز «SAMP/T». وتأتي الخطوة بينما تسعى كييف إلى سد النقص في صواريخ الدفاع الجوي استعداداً لفصل الشتاء، وسط مخاوف من استمرار الضربات الروسية على المدن ومنشآت الطاقة والبنية التحتية.
وكشف زيلينسكي، حسب «رويترز»، أن القوات الجوية الأوكرانية طلبت 360 صاروخاً اعتراضياً لمنظومات «باتريوت» لتغطية حاجاتها خلال الشتاء القادم.
وأفاد بأن أوكرانيا ستكون قد تسلمت خلال 2026 نحو 264 صاروخاً اعتراضياً من طرازي PAC-2 وPAC-3، مشيراً إلى أن هذا الرقم يقل بصورة كبيرة عن الكميات التي حصلت عليها في السنوات السابقة.
وأعلن الرئيس الأوكراني التوصل إلى اتفاق مع ألمانيا لتوفير 600 صاروخ اعتراضي من طراز PAC-2 خلال عامي 2027 و2028، في مؤشر إلى استعداد كييف وحلفائها لاستمرار الحاجة إلى الدفاعات الجوية على المدى الأطول.
وحذّر من تنامي القدرات العسكرية الروسية، قائلاً إن موسكو قد تتمكن من تطوير طاقتها الإنتاجية إلى نحو 1,300 صاروخ باليستي سنوياً. وأضاف أن روسيا تسعى، وفق تقديرات كييف، إلى تعبئة 300 ألف جندي إضافي خلال العام الحالي بعد انتخابات سبتمبر.
وعلى صعيد الجبهات، توقع زيلينسكي أن تتساوى خلال 2026 مساحة الأراضي الجديدة التي تسيطر عليها روسيا مع مساحة الأراضي التي تتمكن القوات الأوكرانية من استعادتها.

He revealed anticipated French military support to enhance Ukraine's air defense network.
Zelensky stated in remarks today (Sunday) that holding elections during the war poses a tremendous risk, emphasizing that elections at this time would be like a tsunami for the country that would divide Ukraine.
Zelensky was responding to a call from a former defense minister to organize a vote, as Kyiv continues to face Russian forces on multiple fronts.
According to the French Press Agency, Zelensky considered that the conditions of war make organizing elections currently extremely dangerous, given the ongoing military operations and the threats facing the country.
Meanwhile, Zelensky is awaiting new reinforcements from allies, having announced that France will supply Ukraine with at least one air defense system of the "SAMP/T" type during this year. This step comes as Kyiv seeks to address the shortage of air defense missiles in preparation for winter, amid fears of continued Russian strikes on cities, energy facilities, and infrastructure.
Zelensky revealed, according to Reuters, that the Ukrainian Air Force requested 360 interceptor missiles for the "Patriot" systems to meet its needs during the upcoming winter.
He stated that Ukraine will have received about 264 interceptor missiles of the PAC-2 and PAC-3 types by 2026, noting that this figure is significantly lower than the quantities obtained in previous years.
The Ukrainian president announced reaching an agreement with Germany to provide 600 PAC-2 interceptor missiles over the years 2027 and 2028, indicating Kyiv and its allies' readiness for the continued need for air defenses in the longer term.
He warned of the growing military capabilities of Russia, stating that Moscow could develop its production capacity to about 1,300 ballistic missiles annually. He added that Russia is seeking, according to Kyiv's estimates, to mobilize an additional 300,000 soldiers during this year after the September elections.
On the front lines, Zelensky predicted that by 2026, the area of new territory controlled by Russia would equal the area that Ukrainian forces manage to regain.
