Horizon Egypt Drives the Smart Transformation of SA’ADA New Cairo Through a Strategic Partnership with e& Business

Horizon Egypt Developments has announced the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with e& Business, the enterprise arm of e& Egypt and a leading provider of telecommunications and digital transformation solutions. The collaboration aims to leverage best-in-class technologies to design and implement the advanced digital infrastructure and smart city ecosystem for SA’ADA New Cairo. The signing ceremony was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid bin Saeed bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, General manager of Ajman Citizens Affairs Office and Chairman of Horizon Egypt for Touristic Developments, alongside Eng. Hazem Metwally, Chief Executive Officer of e& Egypt. The agreement was signed by Mr. Ibrahim Beshir, Board Member at Horizon Egypt Developments, and Sherif El Khouly, Chief Business Officer of e& Egypt, in the presence of senior executives from both organizations.

Going beyond the traditional provision of connectivity services for real estate developments, the agreement positions digital infrastructure as a core operational enabler that empowers Horizon Egypt Developments to manage and oversee the project’s operations. The new ecosystem will provide Horizon’s management teams with comprehensive oversight of the project’s facilities and assets through real-time data and artificial intelligence. This will enable Horizon Egypt Developments to make proactive operational decisions that enhance energy efficiency, minimize disruptions and resource waste, and uphold the highest standards of quality and sustainability that the company is committed to delivering to its customers over the long term.

As part of the agreement, e& Business will deploy an advanced Ultra Fiber network, and the connectivity infrastructure will be designed in accordance with international standards and user demand, ensuring readiness for current and future data-speed requirements. This will enable symmetrical, scalable speeds beyond gigabit levels, while maintaining network stability and minimizing signal loss—even during peak usage periods.

The smart operations layer will serve as a centralized interface that connects devices, sensors, and systems across the development and analyzes data in real time. This will support predictive maintenance, monitoring of water and electricity consumption, asset management, and environmental and security tracking. It also enables seamless expansion of smart-city services without rebuilding the underlying digital infrastructure.

This advanced infrastructure will enable a wide range of integrated smart applications, including multifunctional poles equipped with energy-efficient lighting, connectivity units, environmental sensors, and surveillance cameras. It will also support electric vehicle charging networks, smart parking guidance systems, and intelligent mobility tracking within the development. In addition, a unified digital application will allow residents to manage visitor access, monitor and pay utility bills, control smart home features, and access commercial services through a single platform.
