أنهى الحارس المكسيكي المخضرم غييرمو أوتشوا مسيرته الكروية، معلناً اعتزاله اللعب بعد أكثر من 20 عاماً قضاها بين الملاعب، ترك خلالها بصمة بارزة مع منتخب بلاده وعدد من الأندية الأوروبية.

وأعلن أوتشوا، البالغ من العمر 41 عاماً، قراره عبر حساباته على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، عقب مشاركته في كأس العالم للمرة السادسة في مسيرته. وجاء ظهوره الأخير بقميص المكسيك كبديل خلال الدقائق الـ12 الأخيرة من مواجهة التشيك، التي انتهت بفوز منتخب بلاده 2-0، وسط تحية جماهيرية كبيرة في ملعب أزتيكا، المكان الذي شهد انطلاقته مع الفريق الأول لنادي كلوب أمريكا عام 2004.

وقال الحارس المكسيكي في رسالة وداعية إنه قدم كل ما لديه طوال مسيرته، مؤكداً أنه لم يبخل بأي جهد مع الأندية التي مثلها أو مع منتخب بلاده.

وخاض أوتشوا خمس نسخ سابقة من كأس العالم قبل مشاركته الأخيرة، واشتهر بتصدياته الحاسمة، أبرزها ركلة جزاء أمام البولندي روبرت ليفاندوفسكي في مونديال قطر 2022.

وعلى صعيد الأندية، امتدت مسيرته 22 عاماً، تنقل خلالها بين تجارب احترافية في فرنسا وإسبانيا وبلجيكا وإيطاليا والبرتغال.

The veteran Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa has ended his football career, announcing his retirement after more than 20 years spent on the pitch, during which he left a significant mark with his national team and several European clubs.

Ochoa, who is 41 years old, announced his decision via his social media accounts, following his participation in the World Cup for the sixth time in his career. His last appearance in the Mexico shirt was as a substitute during the last 12 minutes of the match against the Czech Republic, which ended with his national team winning 2-0, amidst a great ovation from the fans at the Azteca Stadium, the place where he began his journey with Club América's first team in 2004.

The Mexican goalkeeper stated in a farewell message that he gave everything he had throughout his career, affirming that he did not hold back any effort with the clubs he represented or with his national team.

Ochoa participated in five previous World Cups before his last appearance, and he became famous for his crucial saves, most notably a penalty save against Polish striker Robert Lewandowski in the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

On the club level, his career spanned 22 years, during which he moved between professional experiences in France, Spain, Belgium, Italy, and Portugal.
