طالب أسطورة كرة القدم البرازيلية روماريو اتحاد كرة القدم في بلاده بإقالة المدرب الإيطالي كارلو أنشيلوتي من تدريب «السيليساو»، عقب الوداع المخيب لبطولة كأس العالم 2026 من دور الـ16 على يد النرويج.
روماريو يطالب بالرحيل الفوري
وقال روماريو في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة «ذا صن» البريطانية: «لا يمكن لأنشيلوتي الاستمرار مدرباً للبرازيل، هذا مستحيل، لو كنت مسؤولاً عن الاتحاد، لدخلت غرفة الملابس، وأمرته بالرحيل، وأنهيت عقده فوراً. المباراة ضد النرويج كانت مخزية».
انتقاد للقرارات الفنية
وأضاف: «لم أفهم حتى ما كان يدور في ذهن أنشيلوتي في مباراة النرويج، لقد أخرج برونو غيماريش وأشرك إيدرسون في مركز الظهير. هل تفعل ذلك لأنك لم تستدعِ أي ظهير آخر؟ هل من المنطقي أن يُصاب ظهير فتستدعي قلب دفاع؟».
لو كان برازيلياً لمزقوه إرباً
كما ألقى اللوم على الصحافة البرازيلية لعدم انتقادها الكافي للمدرب الإيطالي لكونه أجنبياً، قائلاً: «لو كان مدرباً برازيلياً لمزقوه إرباً إرباً منذ زمن، لكن ذلك لم يحدث لأنه أجنبي».
عقد طويل مع الاتحاد البرازيلي
ويمتد عقد أنشيلوتي حتى عام 2030، ومن المتوقع أن يستمر في منصبه، على الرغم من الغضب تجاهه بسبب الوداع المبكر للمونديال.
The Brazilian football legend Romário has called on the football federation in his country to dismiss Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti from coaching the "Seleção," following the disappointing exit from the 2026 World Cup in the Round of 16 at the hands of Norway.
Romário demands immediate departure
Romário said in statements reported by the British newspaper "The Sun": "Ancelotti cannot continue as the coach of Brazil, it’s impossible. If I were responsible for the federation, I would enter the locker room, order him to leave, and terminate his contract immediately. The match against Norway was disgraceful."
Criticism of tactical decisions
He added: "I didn’t even understand what was going through Ancelotti’s mind in the Norway match. He took out Bruno Guimarães and brought in Ederson as a full-back. Are you doing that because you didn’t call up any other full-back? Is it logical for a full-back to get injured and you call up a center-back?"
If he were Brazilian, they would have torn him apart
He also blamed the Brazilian press for not criticizing the Italian coach enough because he is a foreigner, saying: "If he were a Brazilian coach, they would have torn him apart a long time ago, but that hasn’t happened because he is a foreigner."
Long contract with the Brazilian federation
Ancelotti's contract extends until 2030, and he is expected to remain in his position, despite the anger towards him due to the early exit from the World Cup.
