أكد نائب مدير عام مطار عدن الدولي عضو مجلس إدارة الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني والأرصاد الجوية اليمنية عبدالله محمد جميع، أن الدعم السخي والمستمر الذي تقدمه المملكة العربية السعودية لقطاع الطيران المدني والنقل الجوي في اليمن، يمثّل ركيزة أساسية في استمرارية العمليات التشغيلية وتطويرها وفقاً لأعلى المعايير الدولية المعمول بها، لافتاً إلى أن هذا الدعم النوعي أحدث نقلة حقيقية وملموسة في البنية التحتية، والخدمات المقدمة للمسافرين.

امتنان لـ«مملكة العطاء»

وأعرب جميع في تصريح لـ«عكاظ»، عن تقديره للجهود السعودية في اليمن، والمشاريع التي تنفذ عبر الذراع التنموية للمملكة «البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن»، مثمناً مواقف المملكة الأخوية الصادقة التي كانت ولا تزال طوق النجاة للشعب اليمني ومؤسساته الحيوية الشريانية.

ترسانة مشاريع على ثلاث مراحل

وأوضح نائب مدير مطار عدن في سياق حديثه المتسلسل أن حزمة الدعم والمشاريع الحيوية، جرى هندستها بدقة لتنفذ على ثلاث مراحل رئيسية متكاملة، بدأت في مرحلتها الأولى بتركيز مكثف على رفد المطار بالتجهيزات والمعدات والموردات الأساسية بصفة عاجلة، وشملت توريد عربة إطفاء حديثة ومتطورة مخصصة للمطارات الدولية، وحافلات حديثة لنقل الركاب داخل ساحة المطار، فضلاً عن توفير مولد كهربائي عالي القدرة لضمان استدامة الطاقة وعدم انقطاع الحركة الجوية.

​وأضاف نائب مدير مطار عدن أن هذا المد التنموي تواصل بمرحلة ثانية تضمنت حزمة واسعة من المشاريع النوعية التي اكتملت بنجاح على أرض الواقع، حيث جرى في حقل الطيران إعادة تأهيل ممر التدحرج وساحة وقوف الطائرات بالكامل من حيث الإنارة والطلاء والأسفلت واللوحات الإرشادية، مع معالجة الشروخ بالفواصل الخرسانية؛ وامتدت تلك الجهود التحديثية لتشمل الصالات والمباني عبر صيانة هنجر مبنى الشحن وسقف مبنى الترحيل، وتحديث المرافق الصحية بصالات المغادرة، وإعادة تأهيل صالة «الزعفران» بالكامل، بالتوازي مع طلاء الواجهات الخارجية للمبنى الفني وبرج المراقبة وبرج الترحيل، وتركيب واجهات زجاجية وأسقف مستعارة وإضاءات حديثة، وصيانة منظومات التكييف المركزي، وشبكات الإنذار ومكافحة الحرائق، وتزويد المطار بمنظومة كاميرات مراقبة متطورة، علاوة على سفلتة وإنارة مواقف السيارات لخدمة المسافرين والزوار.

تحديث ملاحي متطور

​وعن الواقع الحالي للمطار، كشف نائب مدير المطار عن سير العمل بوتيرة عالية تتسابق مع الزمن في المرحلة الثالثة، وهي مرحلة إستراتيجية دقيقة تستهدف عصب المطار الفني والتقني، حيث تركز الأعمال الجارية حالياً على رفع كفاءة المدرج الرئيسي (الرنواي) عبر عمليات القشط، وإعادة السفلتة، ومعالجة الأكتاف، ومناطق السلامة المحيطة به، إلى جانب التأهيل الكامل لإنارة المدرج والأنظمة المرتبطة بها، وتحديث الأجهزة الملاحية المتطورة للهبوط الآلي (ILS)، وأجهزة الاتصالات المتكاملة وجهاز الـ VOR.

​واختتم جميع تصريحه بالتأكيد على أن هذه الجهود الكبيرة والملموسة من المملكة العربية السعودية، تعتبر الركيزة الأساسية والعمود الفقري لاستمرار تشغيل هذا الشريان الجوي الحيوي وتطويره، ليتواكب بكفاءة واقتدار مع كافة المتطلبات واشتراطات السلامة الدولية المنبثقة عن منظمة الطيران المدني الدولي.

The Deputy Director General of Aden International Airport and member of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology in Yemen, Abdullah Mohammed Jami, confirmed that the generous and ongoing support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the civil aviation and air transport sector in Yemen represents a fundamental pillar for the continuity and development of operational processes according to the highest international standards in force, noting that this qualitative support has brought about a real and tangible shift in the infrastructure and services provided to travelers.

Gratitude to the "Kingdom of Giving"

Jami expressed his appreciation in a statement to "Okaz" for the Saudi efforts in Yemen and the projects implemented through the Kingdom's development arm, the "Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen," valuing the sincere fraternal positions of the Kingdom that have been and continue to be a lifeline for the Yemeni people and their vital institutions.

A Arsenal of Projects in Three Phases

The Deputy Director of Aden Airport explained in the context of his ongoing discussion that the package of support and vital projects has been meticulously engineered to be implemented in three main integrated phases. The first phase began with an intensive focus on equipping the airport with essential equipment and supplies urgently, which included the provision of a modern and advanced fire truck designated for international airports, as well as modern buses for transporting passengers within the airport grounds, in addition to providing a high-capacity generator to ensure energy sustainability and prevent interruptions in air traffic.

​He added that this developmental momentum continued into the second phase, which included a wide range of qualitative projects that have been successfully completed on the ground. In the aviation field, the taxiway and aircraft parking area were fully rehabilitated in terms of lighting, painting, asphalt, and signage, with cracks in the concrete joints being addressed; these modernization efforts extended to include the terminals and buildings through the maintenance of the cargo building hangar and the roof of the departure building, updating health facilities in the departure lounges, and fully rehabilitating the "Saffron" lounge, alongside painting the external facades of the technical building, control tower, and departure tower, installing glass facades, suspended ceilings, and modern lighting, maintaining central air conditioning systems, fire alarm and firefighting networks, and equipping the airport with an advanced surveillance camera system, in addition to paving and lighting parking lots to serve travelers and visitors.

Advanced Navigational Update

​Regarding the current situation of the airport, the Deputy Director revealed that work is progressing at a rapid pace in the third phase, which is a precise strategic phase targeting the technical and operational core of the airport. The ongoing work currently focuses on enhancing the efficiency of the main runway through milling operations, repaving, and addressing the shoulders and surrounding safety areas, in addition to the complete rehabilitation of runway lighting and the associated systems, and updating advanced navigational equipment for automatic landing (ILS), as well as integrated communication devices and the VOR system.

​Jami concluded his statement by emphasizing that these significant and tangible efforts from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are considered the fundamental pillar and backbone for the continued operation and development of this vital air artery, enabling it to efficiently and competently meet all international safety requirements and standards set forth by the International Civil Aviation Organization.
