حقق منتخب كوت ديفوار انتصارا صعبا أمام نظيره الإكوادوري بهدف دون رد في مستهل مشواره في نهائيات بطولة كأس العالم 2026 لكرة القدم، في المباراة التي جمعتهما اليوم بمدينة فيلادلفيا الأمريكية ضمن الجولة الأولى من منافسات المجموعة الخامسة.

وسجل أماد ديالو هدف المباراة الوحيد في الدقيقة (90)، ليمنح منتخب بلاده ثلاث نقاط ثمينة ليستقر في وصافة المجموعة خلف المنتخب الألماني الذي حقق فوزا عريضا على كوراساو بسبعة أهداف لواحد، بينما بقي رصيد منتخبي الإكوادور وكوراساو من دون نقاط في المركزين الثالث والرابع تواليا.

وبذلك يدخل «أماد ديالو»، تاريخ منتخب بلاده بعدما سجل هدفا قاتلا قاد به كوت ديفوار إلى فوز ثمين على الإكوادور، ليرفع بذلك رصيد كوت ديفوار التهديفي في تاريخ المونديال إلى 14 هدفا، بعد مشاركات سابقة في نسخ 2006 و2010 و2014، ما يعكس تطورا واضحا في الأداء الهجومي للمنتخب.

من جانبه أكد «ديالو» أن منتخب بلاده يدخل البطولة بطموحات كبيرة وأن فوزهم على الإكوادور يمنحهم دفعة قوية لمواصلة المشوار، وأضاف يقول:«فوزنا على منتخب فرنسا في خلال فترة التي سبقت المونديال منح اللاعبين ثقة إضافية».

ويلتقي منتخب كوت ديفوار مع نظيره الألماني في الجولة الثانية يوم 20 يونيو الجاري، ويواجه منتخب الإكوادور منتخب كوراساو يوم 21 يونيو الجاري.

The Ivory Coast national team achieved a hard-fought victory against their Ecuadorian counterparts with a score of one goal to nil at the start of their campaign in the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals, in a match held today in Philadelphia, USA, as part of the first round of Group E competitions.

Amad Diallo scored the only goal of the match in the 90th minute, giving his team three valuable points, placing them in second place in the group behind the German team, which secured a wide victory over Curaçao with a score of seven goals to one. Meanwhile, both Ecuador and Curaçao remain without points, occupying the third and fourth positions respectively.

With this, "Amad Diallo" enters the history of his national team after scoring a last-minute goal that led the Ivory Coast to a precious victory over Ecuador, thus raising Ivory Coast's total goals in World Cup history to 14, following previous participations in the 2006, 2010, and 2014 tournaments, reflecting a clear improvement in the team's offensive performance.

For his part, Diallo confirmed that his team enters the tournament with great ambitions and that their victory over Ecuador provides them with a strong boost to continue their journey. He added: "Our victory over the French team in the period leading up to the World Cup gave the players additional confidence."

The Ivory Coast national team will face the German team in the second round on June 20, and Ecuador will meet Curaçao on June 21.
