Details of the Horrific Collision
Jesús de Miguel suffered a violent collision with Andorra's goalkeeper Jesús Ouno in the final minutes of the match, after the goalkeeper came out of his goal in an attempt to stop a counter-attack from the opposing team.
De Miguel lost consciousness following the collision, which necessitated urgent medical intervention before he was transported on a stretcher amid concern from players and fans, while the referee issued a red card to goalkeeper Ouno and decided to stop the match.
The player underwent resuscitation attempts before being taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit, but his health deteriorated later, leading to his passing this morning, in a tragedy that shook Spanish football.
