The Portuguese playmaker Bruno Fernandes was excluded from the starting lineup after criticizing his coach Michael Carrick's plans following the 4-1 defeat against the Italian team Como in the Champions League last week.
Match Goals
Bournemouth opened the scoring through Ryan in the 38th minute, then Marcus Tavernier added the second goal five minutes later, before Ivanilson sealed the third goal in the 71st minute.

With this result, Bournemouth raised their tally to 9 points in thirteenth place, while Manchester United dropped to sixteenth place, just one point above the relegation zone.
