أعرب رئيس البرلمان العربي سعد العتيبي، عن شكره لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، وولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود -حفظهما الله- على ما تحظى به المملكة من مكانة وتقدير.
جاء ذلك خلال المؤتمر الصحفي الذي عقده سعد العتيبي عقب فوزه برئاسة البرلمان العربي بالتزكية، كما قدم شكره إلى رئيس مجلس الشورى الشيخ الدكتور عبدالله بن محمد بن إبراهيم آل الشيخ، على دعمه للدبلوماسية البرلمانية في مجلس الشورى.
وأعرب عن اعتزازه بالثقة التي حظي بها لرئاسة البرلمان، مؤكداً أنها تمثل امتداداً لمكانة المملكة وما تحظى به من تقدير على المستويين العربي والعالمي.
وشدد على أن القضية الفلسطينية ستحتل الأولوية في عمل البرلمان العربي خلال المرحلة القادمة، مؤكداً أن البرلمان سيواصل دعم القضية الفلسطينية بكل ما يستطيع، انطلاقاً من كونها القضية المركزية الأولى للعرب.
وثمّن دعم رؤساء المجالس والبرلمانات العربية للبرلمان العربي، موجهاً الشكر إلى أعضاء البرلمان على ثقتهم وتعاونهم، ومعرباً عن تطلعه إلى العمل المشترك خلال المرحلة القادمة بما يخدم مصالح الأمة العربية ويعزز العمل البرلماني العربي.
وأوضح رئيس البرلمان العربي، أن المرحلة القادمة تستهدف الوصول إلى برلمان عربي أكثر تأثيراً وحضوراً، من خلال تطوير آليات العمل والاعتماد على مؤشرات أداء تقيس مستوى الإنجاز والنتائج، بما يسهم في تعزيز فاعلية البرلمان ودوره في التعامل مع القضايا العربية.
The President of the Arab Parliament, Saad Al-Otaibi, expressed his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may Allah protect them - for the status and appreciation that the Kingdom enjoys.
This came during the press conference held by Saad Al-Otaibi following his election as President of the Arab Parliament by acclamation. He also extended his thanks to the Chairman of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Sheikh, for his support of parliamentary diplomacy in the Shura Council.
He expressed his pride in the trust he received to lead the parliament, confirming that it represents an extension of the Kingdom's status and the appreciation it enjoys on both the Arab and global levels.
He emphasized that the Palestinian cause will take priority in the work of the Arab Parliament during the upcoming phase, affirming that the parliament will continue to support the Palestinian cause in every possible way, as it is the central issue for Arabs.
He appreciated the support of the heads of Arab councils and parliaments for the Arab Parliament, directing his thanks to the members of the parliament for their trust and cooperation, and expressing his aspiration for joint work in the upcoming phase to serve the interests of the Arab nation and enhance Arab parliamentary work.
The President of the Arab Parliament clarified that the upcoming phase aims to achieve a more influential and present Arab Parliament by developing work mechanisms and relying on performance indicators that measure the level of achievement and results, which contributes to enhancing the effectiveness of the parliament and its role in addressing Arab issues.
