أعلن المطرب المصري محمد ثروت اعتذاره عن المشاركة في الدورة الـ34 من مهرجان الموسيقى العربية المقرر إقامتها في الفترة من 20 حتى 30 أكتوبر الجاري على مسارح دار الأوبرا المصرية، مؤكدًا أن قراره يأتي بعد رفضه المشاركة في أي أمر يرى أنه يمثل إهانة للفن المصري أو الفنانين المصريين.
نصف قرن من الفن
واستند ثروت في رسالته إلى مشواره الفني الممتد لنحو خمسة عقود، مؤكدًا أنه حرص خلالها على تقديم أعمال تنوعت بين الأغاني الوطنية والدينية وأغاني الأطفال، إلى جانب مشاركته في الفعاليات التي تمثل مصر.
وأشار إلى أن احترامه لبلده وتمسكه بانتمائه المصري والعربي ظلا من الثوابت التي لم يتخل عنها طوال مسيرته، موضحًا أنه ابتعد دائمًا عن كشف تفاصيل الكواليس أو الخلافات أمام وسائل الإعلام.
سبب انسحابه
وأوضح المطرب المصري أن اعتذاره عن المشاركة في مهرجان الموسيقى العربية 2026 جاء اعتراضًا على ما يراه إهانة للفن المصري أو الفنانين المصريين، مؤكدًا موقفه بقوله: «لن أقبل، ولن أشارك، في إهانة الفن المصري أو الفنانين المصريين».
جاء إعلان الانسحاب بعد ساعات من الكشف عن تفاصيل الدورة الـ34 من مهرجان الموسيقى العربية، التي تقدم برنامجًا فنيًا متنوعًا بمشاركة نخبة من نجوم الغناء والموسيقى.
وتقام فعاليات الدورة على مدار 11 ليلة على المسرح الكبير بدار الأوبرا المصرية، بمشاركة نحو 70 فنانًا ومطربًا، بينهم عاصي الحلاني، نادية مصطفى، محمد الحلو، خالد سليم، ريهام عبد الحكيم، مدحت صالح وعمر خيرت.

Tharwat based his message on his artistic journey that has spanned nearly five decades, emphasizing that he has always sought to present works that varied between national, religious, and children's songs, in addition to his participation in events that represent Egypt.
He pointed out that his respect for his country and his adherence to his Egyptian and Arab identity have remained constants that he has not abandoned throughout his career, explaining that he has always refrained from revealing details of behind-the-scenes matters or disputes to the media.
Reason for His Withdrawal
The Egyptian singer clarified that his apology for participating in the Arab Music Festival 2026 came in protest against what he sees as an insult to Egyptian art or Egyptian artists, affirming his stance by saying: "I will not accept, and I will not participate, in the insult to Egyptian art or Egyptian artists."
The announcement of his withdrawal came just hours after the details of the 34th edition of the Arab Music Festival were revealed, which offers a diverse artistic program featuring a selection of stars from singing and music.
The events of the edition will take place over 11 nights on the main stage of the Egyptian Opera House, with the participation of about 70 artists and singers, including Assi El Helani, Nadia Mustafa, Mohamed El Helou, Khaled Selim, Riham Abdel Hakim, Medhat Saleh, and Omar Khairat.
