وجّه رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي اليمني الدكتور رشاد محمد العليمي بتشكيل لجنة عليا مشتركة من وزارة الداخلية وجهاز أمن الدولة والاستخبارات العسكرية، بالتنسيق مع اللجنة المشكلة من قيادة السلطة المحلية بمحافظة حضرموت، للتحقيق في ملابسات اغتيال مراسل قناتي العربية والحدث الصحفي محمد عيضة إثر انفجار عبوة ناسفة استهدفت سيارته بمدينة المكلا.

واطلع العليمي من عضو مجلس القيادة محافظ محافظة حضرموت سالم الخنبشي والأجهزة المعنية على التقارير الأولية بشأن العملية الإرهابية والإجراءات المتخذة لتعقب الجناة وتقديمهم إلى العدالة لينالوا جزاءهم.

وأشاد رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي بسرعة استجابة الحكومة والسلطة المحلية بمحافظة حضرموت والأجهزة الأمنية والعسكرية والإجراءات العاجلة التي اتخذتها منذ الساعات الأولى للحادث، بما في ذلك تشكيل لجان تحقيق ومباشرة أعمال التحري وجمع الأدلة.

وأكّد العليمي أن الدولة لن تدخر جهداً في ملاحقة مرتكبي هذه الجريمة الإرهابية ومن يقف وراءها، وأن الأجهزة المختصة ستواصل عملها حتى استكمال التحقيقات وكشف كافة الملابسات المرتبطة بها، مع التوجيهات بالرعاية الكاملة لأسرة الفقيد عيضة.

ونوّه رئيس مجلس القيادة بالمناقب المهنية والوطنية التي تحلى بها الصحفي محمد عيضة خلال مسيرته الصحفية، وما عرف عنه من تفانٍ في أداء رسالته الإعلامية وحرصه على نقل الحقيقة بمهنية وشجاعة في مختلف المحافظات اليمنية.

وأشاد العليمي بالدور المهني والإعلامي الذي اضطلعت به شبكة قنوات العربية والحدث على مدى السنوات الماضية في نقل معاناة الشعب اليمني ومناصرة تطلعاته في استعادة مؤسساته الوطنية وتحقيق الأمن والاستقرار والسلام.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen, Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, directed the formation of a high-level joint committee from the Ministry of Interior, the State Security Agency, and Military Intelligence, in coordination with the committee formed by the local authority in Hadhramaut Governorate, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the assassination of the correspondent for Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath channels, Muhammad Aida, following the explosion of an explosive device targeting his vehicle in the city of Mukalla.

Al-Alimi was briefed by the member of the Leadership Council and Governor of Hadhramaut, Salem Al-Khanbashi, and the relevant agencies on the preliminary reports regarding the terrorist operation and the measures taken to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice to receive their due punishment.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the swift response of the government and local authority in Hadhramaut, as well as the security and military agencies, and the urgent measures taken since the early hours of the incident, including the formation of investigation committees and the initiation of inquiries and evidence collection.

Al-Alimi affirmed that the state would spare no effort in pursuing the perpetrators of this terrorist crime and those behind it, and that the relevant agencies would continue their work until the investigations are completed and all related circumstances are revealed, with directives for full care for the family of the deceased Aida.

The President of the Leadership Council noted the professional and national qualities that the journalist Muhammad Aida displayed throughout his journalistic career, and what he was known for in terms of dedication to his media message and his commitment to conveying the truth with professionalism and courage across various Yemeni governorates.

Al-Alimi praised the professional and media role played by the Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath network over the past years in conveying the suffering of the Yemeni people and supporting their aspirations to restore their national institutions and achieve security, stability, and peace.
